Team work at Berliner Tafel e.V.

The Berliner Tafel has now become an indispensable social institution in the urban aid system, which has set itself the task of helping people in need with what seems to be the most obvious: with food, attention and solidarity. As a non-profit association, the team is mainly active in the Berlin metropolitan area to distribute surplus and recyclable food to institutions for people in need.

Please re-register punctually 9 o'clock with your contact person at the Berliner Tafel at the gate of Hall 1 - you can recognize them by a white top with the organization's inscription. After a short introduction When working in the sorting hall, you and the local team help with Food sorting and/or with the Packing bags with food donations for Berliner Tafel customers. There are always local contacts for inquiries, and you don't need any previous knowledge for this work. We close the day together with a feedback round around 2:30 p.m. so that you can leave the warehouse by 15:00 at the latest.

note: Although the team tries to plan as much in advance as possible, there may be idle times, waiting times, or plan changes. We apologize for this and will let you know as much as possible in advance.

• parking: No parking spaces directly on site — if you arrive by car, please report in advance or, if possible, travel by public transport (Beusselstraße station, then approx. 5 minutes on foot)
• equipment: If available, bring safety shoes with steel toe With — otherwise you'll get some on site. The hall is not heated or air conditioned, so please weather-appropriate clothing wear
• Meals: lunches (also vegan available) available locally for 1€, please bring suitable change; coffee, tea & soft drinks are available
