World Children's Day is celebrated worldwide on September 20 — a day that focuses on the rights, needs and dreams of children. Children have the right to protection, education, play and a voice that is heard.
Building blocks for democracy: making children's rights visible
This year, the motto is: “Children's rights — building blocks for democracy! ”. The German Children's Fund and UNICEF Germany invite you to creatively record demands and wishes relating to children's rights on building blocks. These will be shown as a large installation in Berlin — a strong sign of democratic cooperation.
For us at lets, this day is a special occasion to show how important commitment is for children and young people. Because this is exactly where the foundations for a fair, diverse and strong society are created.
Whether building playgrounds, projects in daycare centers and schools, or through creative leisure activities, social days make a valuable contribution to helping children grow up in a safe and inspiring environment.
World Children's Day reminds us that we all need to create spaces in which children can develop. Every hour, every effort, every support makes the difference.
Conclusion: Celebrate children's rights — volunteer
World Children's Day is not only a symbolic day but also shows us how strong we can become together. Volunteering makes it clear that children's rights are not abstract texts, but lived reality — can be experienced through creativity, heart and commitment.
