Name of the project: We liberate Perlacher Forst
Date: July 18, 2023
Naam: Barbara K.
I took part in the Gnadenhof project last time, which I really liked and this time I wanted to participate in another project where you work outside and do something in motion that I don't usually have in front of the computer.
I really liked the fact that the project is supervised by several volunteers from the Federal Nature Conservation Association, who regularly participate there. In various conversations throughout the day, they talked more about their regular work there.
It is also very nice that we work with colleagues from other departments on projects. Everyone is there voluntarily and is open to doing the necessary work.
My journey there was a bit long, but no project planner, contact person or Perlach Forest can't help it.
It is very important to me to have the opportunity to volunteer at least a bit. During my school years, I spent ten years at the shelter every Saturday to help out. Since I started working, I can't spend that much time anymore. That is why such selective projects are very nice and always an inspiration for me to find volunteer work where I could help regularly.
Through discussions with volunteers from the Federal Nature Conservation Association, I learned more about the areas covered in Perlach Forest. The volunteers reported what developments can already be seen in the Perlach Forest area and that rare animals can be observed there. Knowing the overall idea motivates you to do the smallest work on the project day.

It's really great that we got the special vacation and that my team lead allowed me to take part in the project. For us, access to the projects is so good and easy — I'm looking forward to the upcoming offers!
